Biolab Viscol-10AS Automatic Kinematic Viscometer is equipped with the latest temperature control, detector, chronometer and washing features.
The Viscol-10AS is the autosampler version of the Viscol-10A series. The device provides the most precise 40°C & 100°C kinematic measurements with viscosity index reporting without any user intervention.
An automatic kinematic viscometer provides the most reliable results by eliminating errors caused by operator bias. All operations like kinematic viscosity measurement, tube cleaning and drying, and calibration are automatic.
Viscosity is defined as the rate of a fluid’s internal resistance to flow. Intermolecular force, molecular mass and temperature are considered as the main factors affecting the viscosity. Fluids that have a directly proportional flow rate with friction resistance are called Newtonian fluids.
One of most common method for calculating the viscosity of Newtonian fluids is kinematic viscosity.
Viscosity values of Newtonian fluids are commonly determined in terms of kinematic viscosity. The best method to measure the kinematic viscosity of Newtonian fluids is capillary (kinematic) viscometers. For the kinematic viscosity measurements of Newtonian fluids, automatic kinematic viscometer instruments provide the most reliable results by precise temperature and timing control.
Viscol-10AS Automatic Kinematic Viscometer offers continuous analysis through its automatic sampling unit with a capacity of 23 samples. After each analysis, the wash and dry processes will start automatically. After the drying process, the device proceeds to the next sample for viscosity measurements without external intervention.
